Kartikey Shukla completed his Bachelors in Social Work from School of Rural Development, TISS, Tuljapur. He finished his one semester as an Erasmus Mundus exchange student at Lund University, Sweden. He was a fellow at the Young India Fellowship programme, New Delhi. Currently he is pursuing Masters (Research) in Anthropology, his research looks into “oil politics and development challenges in post-civil war South Sudan” especially focused on the operation of the ONGC Videsh Ltd. His academic interest lies in literary critics, political economy of development, and writings of resistance, policy perspectives from the “Global South”, Anthropology of State and oral history. Because of his liberal arts education, he put himself as social sciences nomad with deep sense of understanding of Poetry, Cinema, and Drama and applied social sciences disciplines.
